4 beautiful websites analysis (Cool Designs)

Seeing as Flash Websites aren't in trend right now and learning it would be pointless if you're going into Web Design. What's in now is CSS3 and HTML5 and it's been booming and I mean booming hard.

So I've decided to focus less on Flash and more to CSS and HTML. Now that I've decided to do web development in the future I think it's best for me to start looking at new concepts and new types of websites.

Here are some of my findings. This is also done for my webdesign assignment.

SSF Home Competitor's Websites

IKEA's Website
Website Link

The Good
- Very categorized layout.
- Clean and simple
- already has a brand image

The bad
- Layout is slightly inconsistent
- Website is slightly confusing

Haus's Website
Website Link

The Good
- Very clear and simple
- Minimalist design, looks professional
- neat categorization

The Bad
- Lacks a little bit of graphic elements
- Page by page website. No interesting media.

Bellini's Website
Website Link

The good
- Looks professional, clean and simple
- minimalist design
- direct and clear

the bad
- lacks graphics
- lack depth in the website (but it serves it's purpose)

Alibaba's Website
Website Link

The good
- The Branding
- Very categorized layout

The bad
- looks really messy
- quite confusing for customers (same like IKEA's website)
- Not much use of special fonts
- Hierarchy is weird ( No definite focus point, almost like IKEA's website)

Conclusion
Removing sound from the SSF home might be the best. It's annoying and it's not properly implemented into the website. The Design side the website needs to be more clear and simple, too much elements on the website makes it distracting. The navigation is slightly misleading and i think it's bad for websites to not notify it's visitors that a pop-up will happen.
